Gravity in Space

Astronauts experience the sense of weightlessness in space because they are orbiting planets which is like constantly falling through space. Imagine being in a elevator in the twin towers and somebody cut the cables, for a small period of time you would feel weightless because you are falling at a faster acceleration than gravity. In space there is gravity its just that when you are orbiting a planet your acceleration is faster than that of gravity which is trying to pull you down, which gives the feeling of weightlessness. Here is a video to show astronauts feeling weightlessness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coX1u2_KBsQ
